Bukhtawar Malik is an Arts Manager and Visual Artist working with both traditional and digital media. She enjoys experimenting with oils, acrylics, screen printing, and murals, bringing stories to life through rich colours and intricate details.
Her art explores emotions and the connection between nature and humanity. Drawing influence from Art Nouveau and Art Deco, she blends symbolism with a deep appreciation for composition, details, patterns, and colour harmony. Her creative process begins with research and sketching, allowing ideas to develop organically before bringing them to life.
Currently, she serves as the Digital Communications and Special Arts Project Coordinator at the Immigrant Council for Arts Innovation (ICAI) in Calgary, helping newcomer and immigrant arts professionals thrive in Calgary’s art scene.
